If you are looking for an adventure of a lifetime? Then Great White Shark Diving in Guadalupe Island is the place to be from August to November and definitely tops the list as one of the top shark diving locations in the world thanks to its blue water and seasonal great white shark population.
Most importantly, white shark cage diving Guadalupe is not only for certified scuba divers and anyone can participate in getting in the water for that up close and personal encounter on the hookah system in cages that stay at the surface.
I am the dive instructor on board and will take you step by step through an introduction to scuba course so that you can feel comfortable in the water, experience these amazing creatures in their own environment and of course – get the ultimate selfie!!
Early in the season you can see around 5-6 great white sharks around the cage at a time and come October/November, the big girls start showing up and that’s when Great white shark diving Guadalupe really gets the adrenaline flowing.
We are currently halfway through our great white shark diving San Diego season and after another awesome trip to Guadalupe Island, great white wonderland!! We have been averaging about 20-25 great whites a trip with a mix of sharks we see on a yearly basis and some of the new ones from last season.
Sharks were everywhere, swimming up close to the cage, parallel swimming and half breaching on the bait line.
So, if you have ever dreamed of being face to face with a Great White shark at a volcanic island in the Pacific with calm, crystal clear water then this is DEFINITELY the adventure for you!!
